Did you know that Highway 100 used to be called the Lilac Highway because there used to be tons of lilac bushes lining the road? There are quite a few at the intersection of 100 and 7 and then going both east and west on 7 from 100 for a bit. They line 7 on the south side all the way from 100 to Central. Every day I am waiting for them to bloom and then the fragrance is divine!
I opened my kitchen windows today to be greeted by the fragrance of my dwarf lilac bushes - they had finally bloomed. This was Tom's great grandma Rose Piekielko's favorite flower. These always bring her to mind. Love your picture, Kitty! And the title!
Welcome to Penny & Spree, my New Year's resolution for 2009! Here I will post at least one photo every day, most of which I have taken that day. A special "thank you" to everyone who takes the time to leave a comment...each one is treasured and appreciated more than you know.
