"She ran quickly with a sound like raindrops & left her handwriting in all the secret places..." -Story People
"My grandmother kept a box of old photos in her attic & we used to go up there on rainy days & sit on the floor in the dusty light & go through them & she would tell about witches & broken hearts & how we came from royal blood & it was all there in the pictures, she said & then we'd lose the light & we'd all go downstairs for dinner & in our secret hearts we sat taller knowing once we had ruled the world." -Story People

This morning I took a trip to the school where my mom works, which is undergoing a massive reconstruction/remodel. In doing so, they are going to have to demolish two amazing murals that had been painted several years ago, and it was my honor and pleasure to photograph these murals so that the school will be able to continue to enjoy them for years to come. I can only hope that my photographs captured an ounce of the spirit and beauty that each mural embodies...they truly are a sight to behold.

Just revisiting some images from Mexico and playing around with tilt-shift effects in Photoshop. Aren't they cute? Tee hee!
Hank is Indiana and Daisy's cousin, and it was his birthday today! We had ice cream cake in his honor, and here he is trying to get his paws on some leftovers. ;o)
Today is one of my favorite people in the wholewideworld's birthday. She is one of those friends that you can only wish and hope for {I know I did for years and years}...the kind of friend that you can do anything with, say anything to, and in our case, not see each other for months on end but still feel connected in a way that defies logic.

Today I spent the morning with beautiful little B, and what an eventful morning it was! We played with baby dolls, swung in swings, watched Sesame Street, ate Mum Mums . . . whew! ;o)
Receiving a package or a good-old-fashioned-letter in the mail is always a treat, but a surprise package/letter? Well, that's enough to make your week...and it happened to me on Monday! ;oD
